2024 Small Group Tour Destinations

California Wine Country Small Group Tours

New as of 2023, we launched small group tours to Paso Robles and Santa Ynez in California wine country. During these long weekend experiences, we'll cook, taste, and adventure to explore the people and places who help make wine country so unique. We'll kick off these small group tours in iconic California wine country destinations like Sonoma County, Carmel & Monterey, and Santa Barbara. In 2024, we will only provide private small group tours to California.

Small Group Tours Of Mexico

For over five years, we've hosted small group tours to Mexico. During these long weekend experiences, you'll cook with local chefs, taste the local mezcal or wine, meet artisans in their workshops, and head to markets, restaurants, and private dining experiences.

  • Mexico City Group Tours: In 2024, we will only provide private small group tours to Mexico City.

  • Oaxaca Mexico Travel: In 2024, we will only provide private small group tours to Oaxaca City.

  • Valle de Guadalupe Tours: In 2024, we will only provide private small-group tours to Valle de Guadalupe.

Small Group Tours Of Italy

We've hosted small group tours to Italy for more than five years. These week-long experiences occur in the fall during Italy's harvest time — our favorite time of year as food lovers. You'll travel with fellow food lovers as you dive into Slow Food culture, head to local farms, meet celebrated winemakers, cook with celebrated chefs, learn about local wine, and head to markets, restaurants, and private dining experiences. In 2024, we will only provide private small group tours to Italy.

  • Wine Tours Piedmont Italy: Here combine the best of our Lombardy group tour (Milan and Lake Como!) and add in Piedmont wine country. After a few days of learning about street food in Milan and relaxing on Lake Como, we'll head out for food and wine tours in Piedmont, Italy, to sip on Barolo wine and go truffle hunting.

  • Food & Wine Tours Of Sicily: Like our Piedmont tours, we'll cook, visit farms, explore markets, and experience farms. But this small group tour will hit legendary spots like Taormina, Mount Etna, Ortigia, and the Val di Noto.

  • Tuscany Small Group Tours: In 2024, we will only provide private small group tours to Tuscany.

Don't see a destination you'd like to go to? Or wish we'd add tours at different times of the year? Contact us to let us know, and we'll consider it for our upcoming small group tours.

What Past Guests Have To Say About Our Small Group Tours

NORTHERN ITALY SMALL GROUP TOUR...

Our favorite part was that the trip just felt so turnkey. We just showed up and were able to just enjoy instead of thinking about every detail. Normally, we’re the friends in our group who do all the planning from the reservations to driving directions so it was refreshing to take a break from that.

We had a good amount of free time, no morning started too early, and every day felt packed without being overwhelming. Traveling to these places with Salt & Wind was like a crash course. We now feel like we could go back to the area and would know where to go, what to do, and what to explore.
— Marianne L.
SMALL GROUP OAXACA TOURS...

This trip was extra special as I joined a small boutique group trip by Salt & Wind Travel and spent four days exploring Oaxaca in a way I never had before.

I got to meet amazing chefs, artisans, and mezcal makers. Wow! So grateful for such amazing experiences and to have shared it with some amazing people and new friends.
